It's curtains today

Today I have my first commission shoot at Arlewas.
The meeting is this pm but the weather is quite dull. The shoot is indoors but the external light will be crucial to the image as well as the lighting inside. Ideally a bright overcast day would be better than a sunny day.
The idea is to use some additional lighting, either or, and, flash, by Canon Speedlight 580EX II, or by Bowens lighting, borrowed from the college.
I have done some research on the net and it has been quite difficult to find the right information. I have also spent some time talking to Mr Steve regarding lighting. The suggestion here is that I will need to take variable shots so that a selection can be made, and to also illustrate the different angles, colours etc that the client requires. It really depends on the day, and the lighting externally as well.
Listed here is a collection of images taken from the internet to give me some ideas. However, talking to the client will be the best policy as the client is the one paying and they know what they want to show.

The lighting is crucial to ensure that the image is as required by the client. To balance the lighting with the natural is important.
The subject needs to be styled by the client to ensure that there is no dispute about what is required.
I have had an initial meeting with the client to discuss her requirements, and she has also presented me with the images that she has had before.

inset here some examples from K Interiors

I have taken some images at home to illustrate the difficulties that are encountered with this type of work.

  1. Hi
Advertising and commercial photography needs to be researched more please as this should be happening more and more so you can measure how well you are doing against it at all times.
